Sweet Elegance is owned and operated by Pastry Chef Lindsey Maddox Galvez. After completing her degree in Restaurant and Food Service Management at the University of Central Florida, Lindsey cultivated her pastry and cake decorating skills in the workplace. She enjoyed the opportunity to learn and grow through working at several of Florida’s resorts and theme parks, Universal’s Hard Rock Hotel and Sea World Orlando to name a few.
As Lindsey’s career progressed, she found herself looking to mature professionally and be challenged in new and exciting ways. Chasing this ambition brought her right here to the beautiful mountains of Asheville, NC in 2014 where she accepted a position at the Grove Park Inn participating mainly in the wedding cake program. It was there that Lindsey truly honed her decorating skills.
After 10 years of corporate pastry employment and many years of home baking, Lindsey felt it was time to strike out on her own and in 2017 Sweet Elegance was officially started.
At the root of it all, Lindsey’s passion for bringing people joy drives her.
